WE WILL BE PLAYING A BREEZY TWO HOUR FORTY FIVE MINUTE (the maximum amount of time allowed) SET WITH NO INTERMISSIONS AT MY FAVORITE VENUE IN LA. The Ford is a beautiful outdoor amphitheater where you can bring food and drinks and picnic before the show before the band plays under the night sky in front of a backdrop of mountains and palm trees.

I’m thinkin’ friends, guests, strings, horns, songs from all the records and beyond, taking the opportunity to approach our live show a little differently but still as ourselves playing loud as hell or quiet as heaven (?) sorry. Truth be told, I have no idea how this is going to turn out but I saw King Gizzard do it and thought it’d be really fun to give it a try so fuck it we’re goin’ for it. Maybe everyone has a great time and this is something we do again somewhere someday. Maybe it sucks, everyone’s pissed and we never do this or anything else ever again. I mean, the show’s on Friday the 13th (of september) so who the fuck knows. It'll hopefully be epic but it will definitely be outside and pretty.
